"The Eye of the Creator"
Corporate Sponsorship/Partnership Proposal

An interactive monumental sculptural experience

This proposal requests Corporate Sponsorship. "The Eye of the Creator" is a unique, interactive sculptural experience for the public, which includes multiple revenue streams, branding opportunities, public recognition and good will. This sculpture is easily understood and will appeal to a broad demographic. In addition to "The Eye of the Creator," which has an emphasis on the community of man, there are four additional interactive, sculptural experiences that are available, each with a different emphasis: the environment, the elements and science, the human spirit and the nature of truth. Corporate Sponsorship proposals are available for each sculptural experience.

A. Overview of the “Eye of the Creator” proposal

The “Eye of the Creator” is a unique, interactive sculptural experience for the public which includes multiple revenue streams, branding opportunities, public recognition and good will.   Designed by sculptor Jeff Tritel, an award winning sculptor with over 40 years of art experience, “The Eye of the Creator” was designed to draw the visitor in, get them involved and then offer a totally surprising and delightful paradigm shift as they realize that what they thought was true actually is a much greater experience.

“The Eye of the Creator” is a proposed monumental bronze sculpture.  It is comprised of 5 monoliths that appear unrelated at first look.  Each of the 5 monoliths is made up of the faces of humanity.    Some are explicit portraits while others are more abstracted and others are merely shadowy suggestions of faces.  The visitor wanders amidst the monoliths encountering the faces of the people of the world; Asian faces, Caucasian faces, African faces, young, old, male and female.  The visitor approaches the end monolith, climbs the stairs, looks through the sight hole and sees the faces of the 4 monoliths converge into an image of the world centered on Africa, the cradle of civilization!

Reminiscent of Mt. Rushmore, Stonehenge and the giant heads of Easter Island, “The Eye of the Creator” will create an internationally recognizable, unique and interactive experience unparalleled by other popular works of art and sculpture.  This sculpture allows the visitors to walk amongst the monoliths, ascend the stairs which are a part of the sculpture and view the illusion, creating multiple levels of interactivity.  In addition, “The Eye of the Creator” presents an optimal platform to take a strong monumental sculpture with high consumer appeal and use it as the foundation for a highly profitable venture.  The unique attributes of “The Eye of the Creator” allow for myriad publicity, branding, merchandising and good will opportunities.

Jeff Tritel has created a 4 foot model of “The Eye of the Creator.  In addition to offering a limited edition sculpture from this model, there are also numerous other merchandising opportunities including small castings of the individual faces, books and videos about the building of the monument, imprinted clothing, souvenirs, jewelry, games, toys and more.  Also included could be licensing “The Eye of the Creator” brand to various partners who specialize in particular merchandise.  Additionally, the mass appeal of “The Eye of the Creator” creates a platform for advertising and sponsorship opportunities.

We are seeking a corporate sponsor to fund the building of the monumental bronze “The Eye of the Creator.”   The location would be the choice and responsibility of the corporate sponsor.  Jeff Tritel would undertake the creation of the monumental bronze, overseeing quality control, shipping and installation which would take approximately two years.  The additional merchandising opportunities would be shared by the corporate sponsor and Jeff Tritel.

B. Promotional and Marketing Opportunity

‘The Eye of the Creator” would be a perfect addition to a world exposition, Olympic venue, theme park or major metropolis.  It would be a “must see” attraction that would bring visitors from around the world.  “The Eye of the Creator” is designed to appeal to a broad demographic group, including middle class, upper middle class and upper class individuals from around the world.  Based on the appeal of its subject matter, its interactive element and its overall artistic value, “The Eye of the Creator” will appeal to consumers of all ages, from young children to seniors.

“The Eye of the Creator” would also generate direct results for its corporate sponsor.  Performance Research, a corporation that does marketing analysis for corporate sponsorships of sports and special events, undertook an independent study of the results of corporate sponsorship of the visual and performing arts.  Their findings are as follows:

“Over one-half (56%) of those with an interest in the Arts say they would “Almost always” or “Frequently” buy a product sponsoring Arts or Cultural events over one that does not. In contrast, according to previous Performance Research studies, only about a one-third (36%) of NFL fans, one-third (34%) of America’s Cup yachting enthusiasts and less than one-fifth (17%) of the 1996 Olympic Games audience chose products based on their sponsorships.

Even more revealing was that almost one-half (48%) of Americans with an interest in Art and Cultural events indicated that they hold a “Higher” trust in companies that sponsor these events compared to those who do not, while only 16% of Olympic Games enthusiasts claim a “Higher” trust in their sponsors.” [1]

C. Value Proposition

“The Eye of the Creator” provides an outstanding value proposition to consumers who take part in the experience, as well as to its corporate sponsor.  Highlights of each value proposition are outlined below:

Corporate Sponsor Value

A corporate sponsor can derive substantial benefits from sponsoring “The Eye of the Creator.”  By choosing an appropriate location to highlight this unique interactive sculpture, a sponsor can increase revenues from product sales, shopping and other consumer spending.  Additionally, the sponsor will have the opportunity for tremendous co-branded publicity, as the building of “The Eye of the Creator” in all of Jeff Tritel’s promotional materials as well as the mass publicity from the project.  In addition to the good will and public recognition, the corporate sponsor will share in the revenues generated by “The Eye of the Creator” entity, including sales of limited edition bronze replicas, branded merchandise and advertising sponsorships.  It is important to note that the life expectancy of a bronze sculpture can be well over 1,000 years.

In addition to the monumental sculptural experience, an approximately one third scale replica could be made for display purposes.   This replica could be transported to locations of the sponsor’s choosing to bring an introduction to the monumental sculptural experience thereby increasing additional opportunities for revenue, public recognition and good will.

Consumer Value

Consumers that explore “The Eye of the Creator” will be entertained through a unique, interactive and memorable art experience.  Consumers will want to take part of the experience with them and will be able to do so through limited edition, signed bronze replicas and smaller reproductions of parts of the monument, as well as a host of other merchandise and souvenirs.

D. Overview of Proposed Corporate Sponsorship and Revenue Opportunities

Jeff Tritel is seeking a corporate sponsor to secure a location and fund the creation and installation of a monumental, interactive bronze sculpture.  The corporate sponsor will benefit from the visitor draw, publicity, revenue opportunities and good will that “The Eye of the “Creator” will provide.  Jeff Tritel will contribute the design of “The Eye of the Creator” and will oversee production of the monumental sculpture, shipping, installation and production of all other products to guarantee integrity of design.

The cost to create the interactive bronze monument at a proposed height of 50 feet and a length of 200 feet is approximately $20,000,000 to $25,000,000.  The cost is partially determined by the price of copper, a major component of bronze, at time of casting.   This cost does not include shipping, installation, landscaping and associated costs.

The corporate sponsor will own the actual monument and will share the merchandising and licensing revenue with Jeff Tritel.   Jeff Tritel and the corporate sponsor will own the copyright for “Eye of the Creator” jointly.

The revenue opportunities include the following:

Sales of 1,000 4 foot limited edition bronze maquettes at $50,000 each.  Jeff Tritel will oversee production and provide maquettes for $15,000 each.  Total revenue to corporate sponsor - $35,000,000.

Sales of open edition shadow boxes of selected faces from monument.  Anticipated revenue of $50,000,000.

Sales of additional items such as a documentary video about the building of the monument, branded clothing, souvenirs, jewelry, games, toys and more -  estimated average sales of 1,000,000 pieces at $30 a piece -  $30,000,000.

Jeff Tritel estimates that it will take approximately two years to complete the sculpture.

Jeff Tritel is flexible to other proposed structures and would welcome the opportunity to discuss any of these structures and other particulars of the proposal in further detail.

E. Next Steps

As a follow up to this initial proposal, Jeff Tritel would like to schedule an in-person meeting to present the four foot maquette as well as to discuss details of the proposed corporate sponsorship.  At present, the maquette must be viewed at Mr. Tritel’s Northern California studio as the maquette is made of wax and cannot be easily ransported.   Please contact Mr. Tritel at 800.882.8098 to set up a meeting.
